Y Mountain Peak Trail - Hiking
Hiked this with a friend today. I needed a hike pretty bad, and this was a perfect workout. After you get past Bear Flats Meadow, the ground cover is lush and green.

Cougar Crest - Pacific Crest Trail - Hiking
Another family reunion hike. A few of us needed a longer hike, so this did the trick. Beautiful views, and beautiful trail. Made me want to hike the PCT.

Great day for a hike! The spring green is very nice. There are a few sections where logs are across the trail, but other then that the trail is in very good shape and easy to follow.

South Fork Deer Creek Loop - Mountain Biking
Getting late in the season, but a nice ride anyway. The south side of the loop was a little muddy in spots, but otherwise very nice. The last leg down to the car was quite a nice ride!

Aspen Grove to Alpine Loop - Hiking
We started half way, hiked to the top and back, and then I ran down the last section. The colors are beautiful, and I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture! The fall colors are in full force, and it really is a sight to behold.

Cascade Springs Paved Walkway - Hiking
We walked this trail, and enjoyed our time. This will be a great place to take a short walk with our daughter when she is just a little older.

Hobble Creek Paved Trail (Complete) - Skating
We skated the complete trail, but enjoyed the main part much more then the city section in the beginning. After you get past the pond, the trail seperates from the road for most of the trail, and the scenery is very nice. The evening was perfect as well!

Grove Creek Trail - Hiking
The trail was fairly busy today. Several Boy Scout groups had various activities going on, and we saw several other hikers and runners as well. It was hot, but not too bad. We hiked starting about 10am, and really enjoyed it. If we had more time, we would have continued past the bridge and up the hill just a litte more to where it isn't as steep.

North Fork to East Fork Coffee Creek Loop - Hiking
We really enjoyed this trail. I had hiked this one quite a few years ago, and it was nice to return and camp in some of the same spots. Unfortunately, there were several forest fires in nearby regions, and the sky was so gray that we couldn't see very far from any of the peaks.

Bunker Creek - Left Fork - Mountain Biking
This fork is supposed to be the more technical of the two, and it certainly pushed my limits. I rode almost every technical section, and made it past stuff I didn't think I would. The first section after the trail fork is a nice easy ride... but the trail turns technical very suddenly!

Cascade Falls - Hiking
Hiked this trail with hikes_with_bug. The trail was short and easy to navigate with the exception of one washed out section. There was one place where you had to watch your head because the trail led underneath a rock ledge, but it was easy going. The falls were very nice, and I even dunked my head!

Dike Trail to Virgin River Rim Trail - Hiking
Very nice trail. The section along the top was very nice. We saw a handful of wild turkeys along the trail.

Navajo Lake Loop - Mountain Biking
I'm normally not a fan of loop trails around a lake, but this trail was excellent! Manageable climbs, nice downhill, good fast sections of rolling trail all made it a nice ride. I'll do this one again if we end up back in the area.

Calkins Hollow Trail to Tinney Flat Overlook - Hiking
Hiked this trail with some friends the morning after a BYU married student ward campout at Tinney Flat Campground. It was a beautiful morning for a hike. The road past the campground is not paved, but was in great shape.

Bridal Veil Upper Falls - Hiking
Took a stroll on the 4th for this one. The trail has several spots that have slid away. Anyone in good physical condition would have no trouble making it up the trail.

Big Spring to Rock Canyon via Cascade Saddle - Hiking
We are crazy! Definately a good workout. This took us over 8 hours to hike and we were about dead by the time we got home. Had to backtrack once or twice to pick up stuff we dropped. Have faith on the way up, the climb does end and the view is beautiful from the top!

Jordan River Path - Utah Lake to Thanksgiving Point - Mountain Biking
We didn't plan on riding the whole trail, but we made it all the way to where the paved trail stops. This, with a child bike trailer attached to my mountain bike! I'm not quite as out of shape as I thought!

Thunder Mountain - Mountain Biking
We rode starting out at the beginning of the dirt road, and that added a couple of miles. The first few miles of the trail are up and down, but with a good mix. Only a few times did the trail get so steep that we had to walk a short section. Beautiful views! Definately bring a camera.

Bristlecone Pine Loop - Hiking
We walked this on in the evening, after a long morning hike on the Fairyland loop trail. The views were beautiful, and at times the trees were so thick that we forgot we were at the canyon. The mix was wonderful.

Fairyland Loop - Hiking
This hike was amazing. We hiked it in 4 hours, including a 20 minute lunch break about 6 miles in. We didn't see that many people on the trail, compared to the other trails we enjoyed in the park.

Rim Trail - Sunset Point to Inspiration Point - Hiking
We did this trail on our first evening. We hiked this section, then took off for one of the astronomy classes that were being offered during the event.

Provo Race Loop - Mountain Biking
Rode this trail again to correct the mapping slightly. Took a few friends along for the ride. The ride up the road is slightly difficult, but the loop itself is very nice.

Wardsworth to Dry Fork - Mountain Biking
Good ride, but probably more technical then I enjoy riding. Dry Fork was anything but dry, and that section of the trail had so many stream crossings that it about drove me nuts!

Jordan River Parkway - Mountain Biking
This was a great ride. The Jordan River Parkway trail is in great shape. Along the trail we had to ride through several parks to stay on the paved trail. The north end of the trail ends in a section that was flooded, and we didn't continue.

Provo Race Loop - Mountain Biking
We rode this to map the trail, and had to ride it several times to figure out where the loop went. We still didn't get it quite right, but it is a start.

Provo River Trail (Will's Pit Stop to Vivian Park) - Mountain Biking
We started at the mouth of the canyon, and rode up to Vivian Park. The sky appeared a little rainy, which seemed to scare everyone away. We got nothing but a few drops, and enjoyed very little traffic on the path. Lots of small animals running across the path, and the trees are very green and provide plenty of shade along the path.

Hiked this trail again in the afternoon to cool off. With plenty of shade along the trail and the falls, this is a perfect hike for a hot day!

Stewart's Cascades - Hiking
This hike was beautiful. The trail is in great shape. There were a few trees across the path, but they were easy to get around. It was easy to see the damage caused by several snow slides this winter, but the damage isn't ugly. This is a great hike for warm days!

I hiked the first section of this trail this morning on a GeoCaching adventure. The creek is full of spring runoff, and it's a beautiful hike!

Maple Flat - Hiking
Lovely morning for a hike. My wife and I took our 8 month old daughter, and had a beautiful time. Flowers sprinkle the trail, and the scrub oak is doing well at the lower elevations. We did see two rattle snakes on the trail.

Rim Overlook - Hiking
Excellent hike, but we started too late in the day. With a good early morning start, you could do this one easily!
