Rim Overlook

Contributed By TelegramSam

Trail Description

This trail branches off the Hickman Bridge trail and leads up the rim to the west. The overlook at the end of the trail provides beautiful views of the entire Fruita area, including the visitors center and campground. 2.2 miles further up the trail is the Navajo Knobs. This is a good trail to hike early in the day, and be sure to bring plenty of water. There is very little shade along this trail. - TelegramSam

Excellent hike, but we started too late in the day. With a good early morning start, you could do this one easily!

We combined this hike with Hickman Bridge. Had a lot of fun, but forgot sunscreen. Wanted to make it to the Knobs, but didn't leave early enough in the day. Remember to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Went with TelegramSam and geomattino. Really hot and not enough shade! Beautiful views from the overlook.
