Trail Description
Malans peak is actually not a peak but a high point along a trail which leads to malans basin. The basin further along this trail is where the malans family operated a resort in the 1800's it burned down in the early 1900's and still is private property but the current owner allows people to hike through the area since right now it is pretty much reclaimed as wilderness and is not being actively used anymore.
